Raw Propolis
     
Bioessens propolis varieties are harvested in wild areas, using selected strong and high productive honeybees, thus avoiding to use any kind of antibiotics. Hives are put in places away from farms, or plane areas. Places where there is not good conditions for agriculture - therefore, avoiding contamination from agrotoxics.
     
It is collected carefully from trained beekepers, selected piece by piece, and stored in freezer at -18ºC. Then it is packed in nylon-poly bags under modified atmosphere using a combination of tested gases (N2 and CO2) to prevent fungus growth and preserve both quality and freshness. Everything under GMP and HACCP quality control criteria, to deliver a fresh, high quality and contaminant free product.
 
Every received lot is analized in our labs - to verify quality, measuring quantities of total flavonoids, para-coumaric acid, and Artepillin-C. Furthermore, microbiological analisys are done from time to time to guarantee good manufacturing processes at the apiary.
 
In addition, traceability gives all the information needed about each of our products. we can track supplier, production origin, dates, and even wheather conditions at the harvest time.

MG-EXTRA
Technical data
From the state of Minas Gerais central-west and southwest only.
Mainly Alecrin-do-campo origin (Baccharis dracunculifolia) propolis. Harvested from September to March, during this period it is possible to get the highest levels of active compounds, such as Artepillin-C, flavonoids, p-coumaric acid, and other phenolics and non phenolics compounds. Collected within 8 days.
Light green color, mild aroma, bitter taste, and extremely high levels of active compounds.
MG-01

From the state of Minas Gerais central-west and southwest only.

Mainly alecrin-do-campo origin (Baccharis dracunculifolia) propolis. Harvested from September to June, high levels of active compounds. Collected within 8 days.

Green color, mild aroma, bitter taste, and very high levels of active compounds.
MG-Blend

A blend of 50% MG-01 and 50% silvester origin propolis - bees collect it from many "cerrado" plant stems, such as alecrin do campo, sucupira, assa-peixe, etc. - A wider variety of flavonoids plus MG-01's properties.

Brownish and green color, strong aroma, wide variety of active compounds.

Collected from many "cerrado" plant stems such as alecrin do campo (in minor proportions), sucupira, assa-peixe, etc. Wide variety of flavonoids and a little higher moisture levels.

Good quality propolis collected from a wide variety of sources of different regions. Collected within 3 to 4 months, low moisture type. Has a wide variety of active compounds.

Brownish and greenish color, mild aroma, wide variety of active compounds.
 
Granules & Powder
From the state of Minas Gerais central-west, and southwest area.

Propolis with small sized grains. It is the result of the manipulation of all above types of propolis.
